Full Flower Moon: May 10, 2017

The full moon this month arrives at a time when the earth is experiencing the most unique energies we have seen in our lifetime. A shift is underway. Get ready for a ride!

Schumann Resonance is a measurement of the strength of the electromagnetic field created by our planet. Some call it ‘the heartbeat of the earth’. Since first recorded in 1952, the Schumann Resonance stayed quite stable, seeing only minor variance from a constant 7.8 Hz. It began rising in June 2014 and scientists were amazed in January when it surpassed 30 Hz for the first time. We saw continuous growth from February to April with several days last month exceeding 40 Hz. Suddenly in May it has risen to over 100 Hz. Something is going on and we all feel it.

In addition to this energy shift that affects weather, emotions, and physical feelings, we now have a full moon enhancing the power of our environment.

The full moon this month provides our next step of manifestation. Bulbs planted in the past sprout into full bloom. Seeds are finally put into solid ground and immediately begin to root. It is a month to take action and start the ball rolling. Imagine what we can create in time for the next full moon!

Officially occurring at 9:42 PM UTC May 10, 2017, this full moon has already begun sharing its influence. In North America, native peoples gave names to the moons to indicate what to expect in that month.

Full Flower Moon

The name of this lunar month is self-explanatory. It is the time when flowers begin to bloom. Color comes back to the earth, like Dorothy arriving in Oz. We are energized by new life sprouting up around us. Birds and wildlife have paired off to procreate. Our annual resurrection is underway.

The full moon in May is also called the Full Corn Planting Moon (when the most important native crop is planted), or the Milk Moon (when spring babies seek their mother’s milk).

In China this month sees the Dragon Moon. To the Chinese, the dragon was believed to exhale the wind and summon the rain. As the spirit that is the master of water, the Dragon brings life to the world. Dragon is a symbol of transformation and infinite wisdom; this month we can anticipate shifting at a very high level.

In the Southern Hemisphere the season’s are opposite the Northern experience, therefore the names are different. In the land of under, the full moon in May is called Hunter’s Moon, Beaver Moon, or Frost Moon. It is a time to bundle up and appreciate the warmth of home.

This Month’s Guidance

The accelerated energy has direct affect on your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. Many people are feeling overwhelmed by all that is going on in their lives. Many people are experiencing physical challenges, either through the continuance of older issues or the awakening of new ones. If you are feeling sick or in pain, honor yourself and take a break from the stresses in your life. Recognize that you will be more productive once you feel better, so do what you can to heal.

The same can be said for emotional issues. Many people are dealing with old trauma that has come to the surface. Many are worried about what is going on in their immediate life, including worries about those we love. On top of it all are concerns about the well being of the human race. From war to climate change to economic concerns; from political strife and social rebellion to continuous news about potential war and stories of human suffering, we are all worked up about where we are and where we are going.

Take a step back for a moment and remember the Serenity Prayer that guides us to claim our power. God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference. In each and every moment, apply this prayer to your focus and decisions. Identify what you want, recognize what you can do, and keep your focus on progressing your own current state.

Remember that your power comes from within. Any situation affects different people in different ways. Be the one who guides and leads others by staying within your power and retaining confidence that you can make a difference in your little segment of the world. If billions of us work towards creating a world of peace, compassion, and focused effort towards making the world a better place, then it shall be so.

If you have been thinking of getting projects underway, now is the time to take specific action. This lunar month provides an opportunity for a turning point or milestone in your creation. While planning and visualization is important to manifestation, at some point you must make a commitment to growth. Put the shovel into the ground. Plant the seeds and start watering them. Do what you can to get things started. Of course it may take some time for results to arrive, but until you begin you will always just be thinking about your dreams.
